About Amberwood Preschool
We named our early childhood education centre “Amberwood Preschool” to recognise the beautiful Liquid Amber Oak trees that grow on our street. Our centre was the first in New Zealand to be a purpose-built multi-story high-rise childcare service; reflecting the unique needs of central city living. We continue this innovative philosophy with our childcare and education programs by constantly including the advice and observations of the families we serve. We are proud to be a truly multi-cultural and important contributor to our local community.
At Amberwood Preschool we aim to develop children's creativity, individuality and self-confidence, while delivering the highest standards of care for each child. Our passionate team of educators take pride in growing and nurturing lifelong learners. They go the extra mile to make every child feel “at home”; offering unique experiences that help develop friendships and emotional, physical and academic well-being.
